Mandarins

Satsuma mandarins are what Jani Life was built on. They ripen on the narrow subtropical strip between the Adjara mountains and the Black Sea, where mild winters and sea humidity produce thin-skinned, easy-peel fruit with a bright sweet-tart balance.

Varieties & seasons

• Satsuma (unshiu): larger than common mandarins, loose easy-peel skin, few seeds, refreshing sweet-tart flavour
• Harvested from late October; supplied fresh through the New Year season
• Graded by size and packed in ventilated export crates
